Two hundred years ago, an eldritch being got stranded in the coast of Roivas, where it was found by Arthur Roivas and his students. Little it is documented about what it was of the corpse, but since its appearance, whispers and cries can be heard in the forest. Some ghost hunters even talk about spirits wandering around, but nothing of this have been confirmed by nothing more that blurry photos.
What people have noticed, though, is that the more people disappear in those forests, the more trees are at sight.

Two hundred years ago, the college of Roivas accomodated the wisest and looniest students from Occident and, with time, even Orient. Their studies helped to many of the technological and medical advances that society knows nowadays, however, it was told that most of them make use of...indiscreet knowledge to reach their results.
Under the ruins of what was once was the College of Roivas, an Old One inhabitates lays abandoned by their own cult. However, that doesn't mind he can't introduce himself in the keen mind of those ambitious enough to trascend the human mind, serving as an inspiration to restore the College of Roivas once more.

The Mannkotar Cult is one of the main attractions for ghost hunters and tourists in general, as they do annual festivals and performances in the hopes to attract the 'best of the best' soldiers for an inminent battle against the Red Tide.
Needless to say, most of them are considered madmen or products of the mental illnesses war can cause. However, there is a lack of need of a sane mind to face the darkness that approachs with the dim brightness that comes from the lighthouse.

According to some scholars, the name appears in the legendary journals of Arthur Roivas, written with a reverence that reflect the deepest aspects of his madness.
Those who believe in them, willingly or not, are related to the Red Tide.

Steve has living his entire life as the greatest wild dog of Roivas, protecting his mother of any predators that attempted to make her suffer. She wanted a daughter? He will let his hair grow, put makeup and paint his nails. She wanted him to bark at their nosy neighbours, stupid uncles and being hit by his psycho brother? Just hide behind him, he will take care of everything. So when he discovers that his mother has manipulating him, he gets a bit nuts. The wild dog can't be tamed anymore, and would protect anything that comes his way.

Toni is the second son of the DeHeras family, and actually the less intense and responsible of all of them. His only ambition in life is to enjoy the moment, far away from the whining of her mother or any girlfriend that wants to stuck too long to start thinking about kids or any other terrorific potential future together. He will always be seen in the clubs of the town or working as part of the cleaning staff at the hospital, sometimes moving the trash truck or dealing with any undesirable creature that attempts to make him work extra...which led him to a little accident when his mother didn't shut up.

Frank always presented the signs, but it only needed a good beating to developed full, aggressive schizophrenia when he entered his teenager years, which complicated the circumstances of the DeHeras's family. In addition to this, he developed apathism and a narcisist personality that make his outbursts even more violent, as he is unable to empathize with any other human being. In fact, he finds in violence certain sense of justice delivered, as he blame humanity of all his problems. Hates the guts of his oldest brother because he steals the attention he thinks he deserves, and intends to kill him as soon as he finds an excuse.

In a humble province of the ancient Europe exists a place as respected as ignored named Roivas. Founded by Arthur Roivas, a cathedratic specialized in medicine, teology and philosophy by the university of Oxford, and his most devoted followers under the promise of creating a new school entirely dedicated to the study of science and The Other Side after a mysterious trip to Egypt that it is know almost or nothing beyond some rumored journals of Arthur Roivas himself.The town grew up during the last two hundred years gradually, attracting the best students of the occidental world and even some of the oriental world. However, an accident known as the Red Tide drowned almost half of the college and destroyed the other half, which lead the town to a reinvention through fishing and a car factory.
It's a tourist point very attractive for ghost hunters and occasional tourists thanks to their deep woods and the estuary, protected by a small island with an inactive lighthouse, now without any use and full of urban legends about ghosts residing there.Roivas counts with two residential areas depending of your economic position, united by a beautiful boulevard with different businesses and a port where cruises and fishing boats dock equally.It is said that every indetermined amount of time occurs an strange meteorologic event known as the Red Tide in which the position of the sun provokes that the sky and the water change to an intense red blood color.
